The strange family feud involving radio legend Casey Kasem continues — even more than a month after his death. And there may be a Montreal connection to the story.
A report in the New York Daily News says it has obtained a recent copy of Casey Kasem's death certificate, which apparently states that his second wife, Jean, wanted to have the 'American Top 40' host buried at an Urgel Bourgie facility in Montreal.
Kasem died June 15 at the age of 82, but the entertainment web site says the body has not yet been buried — in fact, the suggestion is it's nowhere to be found.
The entertainment web site TMZ.com quotes family sources as saying Jean took the body from a funeral home in Washington state the day before a judge order her to keep it there, so that an autopsy can be done — an autopsy which could determine whether she will have to face elder-abuse charges.
Jean and his three children from a previous marriage have been at odds for years.
