The person killed in an early morning Quebec tour bus crash in upper New York State has been identified as a 14-year girl from Quebec City.
State police say Chelssy Mercier, who was travelling with her mother, who's believed to have been injured, died after the girl was partially thrown from the bus and pinned underneath it.
There were more than 50 Quebecers aboard the New York City-bound bus, and police say several passengers were injured, but that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
A facebook page has been created titled "R.I.P. Chelssy Mercier".
The page was friended by 150 people in a little more than 2 hours and received numerous messages, including condolences.
The creator of the page, who's chosen to remain anonymous, says Mercier attended a private school.
The accident occurred on Interstate 87, also known as the Adirondack Northway.
