Impaired driver struck construction site worker: police

Provincial police are reminding motorists to be cautious when approaching roadwork areas.

The reminder follows an accident this morning in the Monteregie that injured a supervisor in a work zone.

The worker is said to be in serious, but stable condition.

Police say a driver, who was impaired, ran a red light and struck the worker on Highway 112.

The motorist was stopped.

The incident occured as the 2-week construction holiday in Quebec begins.

    This is excellent advice! If you are totally inebriated please drive extra carefully!
    Unlikely in our justice system the driver will be made to pay for his crime. Only the victims suffer the consequences!
