Casino dealers attend study session as pressure tactic for new deal

1,100 dealers at the Montreal and Lac-Leamy casinos will go on a one-day strike on Monday.

They'll take part in a study sessioin in the morning instead of reporting for work

It's a pressure tactic aimed at reviving stalled negotiations.

The casino employees have been without a contract for 16 months.

A union spokesman say they'd like a long term deal with a 2-percent raise for every year.

Other employees will replace the striking dealers.
