Seven-year old boy dies after accident in the Laurentians

A seven-year old boy has died in the wake of a traffic crash involved two vehicles in the Laurentians last night.

The boy was in a car with his mother and another child when they were struck head-on by an SUV that crossed the line in Ste-Anne-des-Plaines along rang du Trait-Carré.

The mother and the other child are expected to pull thru, so is the 22-year old driver of the other vehicle.

The cause of the crash isn't yet known.

First off, my sincerest condolences to the family. Unfortunately, the young driver will get away with a slap on the wrist. He wasn't trying to save any ducks, so no jail time is warranted. Or, maybe he'll get a $60 fine.
