French tourist says he was attacked because he's Jewish

Montreal police say they're investigating an incident in Snowdon on Monday an alleged attack victim calls a hate crime.

In fact, there've been a number of alleged cases of anti-semitism in Montreal since last weekend.

It's believed to be connected to the on-going violence in Gaza.

"I didn't have the time to see his punches. My sister heard a noise of my face and my glasses was fall down", said the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, to CTV News.

The attacker fled.

The man is said to have suffered a concussion and a fractured cheek bone.

He's visiting family from France.

He adds he wanted to move to Canada, but not anymore.
