Lightning alert prompts delays at Trudeau Airport

A lightning alert is generating flight delays at Trudeau Airport in Dorval this morning.

An airport spokeswoman says once an alert is issued warning of possibly severe thundershowers, it is up to each airline to decide whether to allow its flights to depart.

The departure board at the airport is showing many flight delays as of 8 a.m.
