There will be closures on the 40 in the West Island over the weekend as Transport Quebec does some repair works.
Highway 40 westbound between Saint-Charles in Kirkland and Anciens-Combattants in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue will be closed between 10 PM Friday and 10 AM Saturday, and again between 9 PM Saturday and 9 AM Sunday.
Transport Quebec says they are repairing the base of the highway.
“Detours will be through Boulevard Saint-Charles, Highway 20 and on Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants,” spokesperson Mario Saint-Pierre said.
To limit traffic onramps between Côte-Vertue and Chemin Sainte-Marie will be closed between 7 PM Friday and 10 AM Saturday, and again between Saturday 8 PM and Sunday 9 AM.
There will also be partial closures on Highway 40 westbound near boulevard Morgan between 9:30 AM and 9 PM Saturday.
Highway 40 Eastbound will be closed between Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Morgan between Saturday 9 PM and Sunday 9 AM.
Transport Quebec says motorists can always call 511 with their questions before leaving the house or check online.
The work could be pushed back due to extreme weather.
