Close to 30 local bars and restaurants were out to help raise money for sexual education for youths on Sunday.

The 9th annual Serve beach volleyball tournament took place at Jeanne-Mance Park.

The event was started after curriculum reforms in the province's educational system removed a stand-alone sex ed class in 2005.

The money raised goes to Head & Hands Sense project.

The project brings workshops to youths in high school settings, community centres and group homes.

With the tournaments support last year the project was able to reach out to 1700 young people in Montreal through workshops and outreach activities.

The words 'todays youth' and 'education' will never be able to be put together. Just look at how the local youth act all the way from Mcgill and Concrdia down to the younger generations. Drinking, drugs, wild sex, etc.
