Broken water main in LaSalle

Some 49,000 residents of LaSalle are being advised that although the water may look funny , it is safe to drink.

City crews are working on a water main break on De La Vérendrie near Beaulieu.

The work may release a little rust into the system, but it won't be a health issue.

Bourough officials are advising residents to let the water run to clear the pipes if you plan on doing the dishes or laundry.

The repair work will also close two east bound lanes on De La Vérendrie near Beaulieu.
