Arbitration for PK Subban on Friday, unless there's a contract deal

Will it be 8.5-million dollars a year, or just over 5-million?

P.K. Subban and the Canadiens are scheduled for salary arbitration Friday if there's no contract agreement.

It sesms popular Norris trophy-winning defenceman wants 8-million dollars a season, but the Habs are apparently offering just over five.

"I'm guaranteed to be in a Habs jersey next season. I mean you talk about obviously arbitration, that puts me in a Habs jersey and obviously people understand that, you know, in terms of long term I've been nothing but adamant on remaining and being a Montreal Canadien", said Subban in an interview on the Aaron Rand show.

The two sides can still reach a deal during arbitration.

Subban, a 25-year-old restricted free agent, made $3.75 million, with a $2.875 million NHL salary-cap charge, in the second of a two-year contract.

Lots of teams looking for an average defenceman, great trade bait.

@Joe Well if you think PK is only an average defenceman then it is a good thing you will never become a GM.
