Quebec fugitive nabbed in Costa Rica

Police in Costa Rica are confirming that a man they have in custody on an Interpol Red Notice is 36-year old Quebecer Michel Emond.

Emond is wanted here on charges that he ran a meth lab in the basement of his house in Laval. Notably, the tablets his operation is accused of producing were shaped like the Canadiens hockey team logo.

Emond has been on the run for more than two years.

Costa Rica says he will be handed over to Canadian authorities shortly.
