American infected with Ebola virus arrives in the US for treatment

U-S officials are confident there isn't any danger to the public now that a doctor infected with the Ebola virus in Africa has arrived in the States for treatment.

He was flown in encased in a special isolation chamber to a military base near Atlanta.

He will be treated in a unit in Emory University Hospital that was designed to care for federal health workers exposed to some of the world's most dangerous germs.

Another infected American will be taken there in coming days.

They will be the first people to be treated for the disease in the U-S.

Ebola has killed over 800 people in West Africa.

Yesterday Health Canada advised people not to go to the West African countries where the outbreak is taking place.
