3-year-old boy drowns in Brossard

Second backyard pool drowning in 24 hours in south shore suburb

A children's party in Brossard turned tragic Friday afternoon, when a 3-year-old boy was found unconscious at the bottom of a backyard pool.

The incident happened on Tardif St. at around 2:45 Friday afternoon.

Police officers and ambulance workers rushed to the scene, trying to revive the boy.

He was then rushed to Charles-Lemoyne hospital, where his death was confirmed.

The youngster is the second person to drown in a backyard pool in Brossard a 24-hour period. An 85-year-old man drowned in a backyard pool on Varin St. early Thursday evening.

It's unclear whether that man had any kind of medical condition.

This makes me VERY ANGRY, if you are a parent with a child young enough that they cannot swim , GET A GOD DAMN FENCE first of all so that your kid can't get in the pool if you are distracted. Second of all NEVER leave your toddler unattended!
