For the second time in as many days a plane that took off from the Mascouche airport had to perform an emergency landing on Highway 640.
Gilles Lambert, manager of the Mascouche Airport said the engine stopped after takeoff. A student and instructor were inside the aircraft.
The airplane performed an emergency landing on the service road of Highway 640 Saturday night.
There were no injuries, and no cars were hit. The only damage done was small to the wing tip of the airplane.
Traffic was slightly disturbed in the area as the airplane was quickly towed back to the airport.
Lambert said mechanics will perform some tests on the plane Monday in hopes of determining what caused the engine to stop.
Fuel samples were taken and will be analyzed as well.
