Quebec Liberal minister Lucie Charlebois will introduce legislation to limit the use of e-cigarettes among minors.

The law, the minister said, is expected to be put forward quickly, according to an report in Le Devoir.

It would also forbid people from smoking electronic cigarettes in public places.

The Quebec Coalitition for Tobacco control is on board with the idea, and said the law is due to be updated.

"We don't want these products to normalize smoking," said Coalition spokesperson Flory Doucas. "The proposal that she is putting forward means smokers can still access these products."
