The city of Montreal picked a winner of the Info Snow Challenge Saturday.
The objective of the challenge was to make an application so that Montrealers can receive important information about snow removal.
The participants presented their solutions to an evaluation committee at a public meeting on Saturday.
Three awards recognizing the most interesting applications were awarded to the three teams; Heritage Software was given first place.
Executive Committee Vice President Harout Chitillian said the City of Montreal will examine all eight finalists and choose one of the applications to become the official city supplier for the five boroughs that will be in the pilot project from November 2014 to April 2015.
