Alleged baby kidnapper back in court

The young woman accused of kidnapping a newborn in Trois-Rivières last May was back in court today.

The hearing to determine bail for 21-year-old Valerie Poulin-Collins has been put off until next Tuesday.

The bail hearing has already been delayed several times at the request of Poulin-Collins' lawyer who said she needed more time to prepare her case.

On May 26th, Poulin-Collins is alleged to have kidnapped Melissa McMahon and Simon Boisclair's baby, by posing as a nurse at the Trois-Rivières hospital.

Several young people in Trois-Rivières — who recognized pictures of the woman posted on Facebook — helped police track her down.

The baby was not harmed.
