A conflict between two men ended with both being taken to hospital Wednesday evening.
Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture said police were called around 8:30 P.M. concerning an armed attack in an apartment on Létourneux Ave. in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Mainsonneuve borough.
Police found a 50-year-old man with injuries to his upper body inflicted by a sharp object. He was taken to hospital where his life is not in danger.
The suspect, a 58-year-old man, was also injured. He was arrested and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The man will meet with investigators when his health permits.
Couture said the men know each other, and that police have been called to the apartment in the past.
