UPDATE: Cyclist dies after being struck by car in Longueuil

Longeueil police said a 50-year old cyclist has died after an accident Friday evening in an area borough.

"The collision occurd between a cycist and a car on Boulevard Cousineau Street n St Hubert.

It was in between the intersections of Mountainview and Pacific", said police spokesman Jean-Pierre Voutsinos.

Detectives were talking to witnesses also planned to question the driver.

Traffic in the area was re-routed as a result of the accident.
