Armed robbers force way into home, tie up three inside

Montreal police are searching for two armed suspects after a home invasion Tuesday evening that left homeowners tied up and robbed.

At approximately 5:30 P.M. two armed men forced their way into a home on Du Quesne St. between Sherbrooke E. and Alfred-Pellan Sts., according to Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.

The suspects tied up the two men and one woman inside the house, and then fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money, he continued, adding the victims did not suffer any injuries but did suffer from shock, according to Brabant.

A K-9 unit was dispatched to the scene to help with the investigation.

Investigators are following leads that are making the investigation progress, Brabant said
