Window washer tumbles four stories

A window washer fell four stories Wednesday afternoon when the piece of scaffolding he was standing on gave way for an unknown reason.

The worker was on the sixth floor of a building on Mountain Sights Ave., between De La Savane and Sorel Sts. at around 3p.m., when he tumbled four stories onto a secondary roof on the second floor of the building.

The Montreal fire department's special Spiderman unit was called in to perform the delicate rescue operation.

The man was conscious when he was taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries is not yet known.
