This two-DVD set covers the amazing 77-year career of jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli, who died just short of his 90th birthday in December 1997. Unlike the ponderous documentary Jazz: A Film by Ken Burns, this film focuses on its subject, eschewing third parties that had no contact with Grappelli. His life's story is interwoven with performances, rarely seen still photographs, and interview clips with Grappelli and a number of musicians who played with him.
