Serious claims levelled against Adil Charkaoui

Ottawa has opened its secret files on five men it's trying to deport for alleged terrorist links, including, on Montreal resident Adil Charkaoui, who's been under a federal security certificate for years.

Canada's spy agency claims Charkaoui talked about hijacking a commercial airliner and crashing it into a building in Europe.

CSIS claims Moroccan-born Charkaoui not only attended a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan in 1998, but that he was also in charge of recruiting.

Charkaoui, who was arrested by Canadian authorities in 2003, denies allegations he's a sleeper agent for al-Qaida.
