The minister responsible for sport plans to talk this week with her counterparts in other provinces and with officials from Quebec's Major Junior Hockey Leagueon how to put an end to violence in the sport.

Michele Courchesne was asked about Saturday's incident in Chicoutimi where Quebec City Remparts goal-tender Jonathan Roy crossed the ice and pummeled his opponent from the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.  The minister wouldn't comment on possible penalties, but said she believes there's a profound malaise that needs to be addressed.

Meantime, Jonathan Roy the son of Remparts coach and former Habs goaltender Patrick Roy has apologized to fans for his behaviour, blaming his outburst on adrenaline and frustration.
