Missing autistic girl found safe and sound

A 15-year-old autistic teen who went missing yesterday morning has been found safe and sound.

Christina Saint-Vil was spotted by a passerby in the Ahuntsic district.  He had recognized her from a picture he'd seen on television of the missing girl.  

Police were called.  They picked up the girl and took her to the nearest police station.  Investigators also called the family to let them know their daughter had been found.

Saint-Vil disappeared after her mother sent her off to school Tuesday morning.  Her mother, however, had forgotten is was a ped day and only notified police when her daughter was late coming home.

It's not known where the girl has been for the past 24 hours.  Police will be meeting with her and her family.
