Sponsorship Scammer Back in Business

A key figure in the federal sponsorship scandal, advertising executive Jean Brault is back in business.  The 55-year-old former head of the Groupaction ad agency has opened a new firm, the Phoenix agency.

Brault, who spent time in jail for defrauding Canadian taxpayers of over a million dollars, now claims to be broke.

Six people were arrested in connection with the sponsorship scandal;  4 have been convicted in the case.
