Lachine's borough mayor wants the federal transport minister to meet with local residents to explain what he thinks about new flight patterns out of Trudeau airport that'll see planes fly over Lachien and Lasalle.

Claude Dauphin called on Lawrence Cannon, ADM president James Cherry, and a representative of Nav-Canada to come speak to locals and explain the advantages of planes flying over their heads.

Dauphin adds it's time to rethink the future of Dorval airport...and, possibly, the future of the still-unused Mirabel airport, too.

In the meantime, he says if planes are going to fly over his borough...they shouldn't fly between 11 at night and 7 in the morning.
