Casino Labour Woes

Still more labour trouble at the province's casinos. While 12-hundred FTQ-affiliated croupiers negotiate to avoid a strike threatened for tomorrow, another strike threat is coming from 22-hundred workers with the CSN.

Their union leadership in Charlevoix already has a strike mandate; casino workers in Montreal voted last night, and those in Gatineau vote today.

For the time being the workers' only pressure tactic has been to ignore their dress-code.
