The family of an 18-year-old man shot by a Montreal police officer in St.Michel over the weekend is demanding the city for an apology. But Montreal Mayor Gerald Tremblay says with evidence proving the suspect threatened officers with a knife, there's no way they're getting one.
Nashwan Abdullah was shot in the stomach Saturday afternoon while trying to avoid his arrest in connection with a stabbing in early September.
Tremblay says police officers have a right to protect themselves, and that if you're going to pull a weapon on a cop, you're going to get hurt.
