Ob-Gyns warn care will suffer unless more baby docs are trained

The group representing Canada's baby doctors is warning that medical schools must start churning out significantly more Ob-Gyns or moms and their babies will be put at risk in future.  The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists surveyed its members to find out how many are delivering babies and how long they intend to keep doing that.  Just under 14-hundred doctors are doing deliveries and that number is expected to drop by a third in five years.  That's because younger doctors - primarily women - don't want to work round-the-clock, would like to spend less time on call and intend to take career breaks to have their own children.
