David Cohen Bio
Get To Know...
Birthplace?
I was told Montreal, though I didn't get a chance to look around at the time...
What's the best thing about living in Montreal?
Downtown, Old Montreal, the Plateau... shall I go on?
Most memorable moment in your radio career?
Getting hired. (I'm still very early into my career...)
Favourite person you interviewed and why?
They're all my favourites.
Other than Montreal, where else would you love to live someday?
Anywhere warm. But not too humid. But cold enough in the winter so that I can play hockey. But no windchill. And in Europe. Maybe.
When you have friends visit Montreal from elsewhere for the first time, what's the one thing you insist they see/do?
Go get a Dagwood's sandwich. Obviously.
What's the weirdest job you've ever had?
Working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, chatting it up with Americans about all their crazy notions about Canada. ("Canada is across the river, right?")
Favorite Hobby/Pastime?
I can't turn down a good frisbeeing. And no cheapo outta-the-cereal-box frisbee.
Favorite magazine?
Don't have one. Any recommendations?
If you could have one superpower, what would it be, and why?
To be the best darned newscaster I can be. Oh wait, already there. I guess I'm fine then.
Favorite television show of all time?
Stargate SG-1. It's fun and silly and stars MacGyver.
TV Show that you'd most like to appear on, and why?
See above.
Famous person (living or dead) you'd most like to have lunch with?
I can't say. She might read this and I'd get all embarrassed.
If they made a movie about you, what actor would you like to play you?
Have I done enough to be worth making a movie about? Aww... that's sweet.
What's your #1 pet peeve?
People that ask, "Are you sure?" Man, how I hate that.
Whom do you admire the most?
My mother. Now I have to see that she reads this.
