When you have friends visit Montreal from elsewhere for the first time, what's the one thing you insist they see/do?
~ have a smoked meat sandwich

come to think of it, i don't do much

If you could have one superpower, what would it be, and why?
~ invisability, so I could go anywhere

Star trek

TV Show that you'd most like to appear on, and why?
~ star trek enterprise, because i'd look good in one of the jump suits

~ churchill, it would be a liquid lunch

If they made a movie about you, what actor would you like to play you?
William Shatner, without the rug

What's your #1 pet peeve?
Paying 20 bucks for a haircut - I ought to get a discount

Mike Babins, he's typing this for me

Birthplace?~Montreal - but I have been a wandering soul all my life!

What's the best thing about living in Montreal?
The diversity - the restaurants - the festivals bringing different cultures to those who can't travel.

Most memorable moment in your radio career?
Believe me, it's all memorable!!

Favorite person you interviewed and why?
William Shatner, just before he started Boston Legal - I knew a lot about his work in the early days here and it was nice to focus on that rather than on Star Trek.

Other than Montreal, where else would you love to live someday?
IRELAND - England or PEI.

When you have friends visit Montreal from elsewhere for the first time, what's the one thing you insist they see/do?
~
I insist they don't ride in a caleche - but take in the good things in the city - St Patricks, walk through Old Montreal and check out the beautiful architecture,

What's the weirdest job you've ever had?
Never had a really weird job but some of the things I'm asked to do here are sometimes a bit off the wall.

Favorite Hobby/Pastime?
~I write, I read, I paint. I horseback ride (english saddle). THEATRE!

Favorite magazine?
Variety Magazine!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be, and why?
~ I don't need super powers - I'm fine just as I am.

Favorite television show of all time?
Can't pick one - I love Frasier, Will and Grace - and most British comedies - My Family, Prime Suspect, etc.

TV Show that you'd most like to appear on, and why?
~ ---I would have loved to have been on Frasier or 24.

Famous person (living or dead) you'd most like to have lunch with?
~Can't pick just one - Jesus - Oscar wilde, Hitler and the Queen - I have a number of questions for each one!

If they made a movie about you, what actor would you like to play you?
Susan Sarrandon?Nooo! ... - I'll play myself, thank you very much!!

What's your #1 pet peeve?
People with no sense of humour.

Whom do you admire the most?
My mother -- always.......and forever.

Sharman has worked Professionally in television, radio and theatre for twenty years, during which time she has worked with such notables as Donald Sutherland, John Candy, James Brolin and Olympia Dukakis.

 

Born and raised in Montreal, Sharman has also spent much of her time in England and Ireland. She has a BFA and a certificate in Journalism from Concordia University. She studied Drama at The Banff School of Fine Arts in Canada, and also at The London Drama Studio and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

 

Proficient in voice work, Sharman enjoyed narrating a series of children's stories, "Colour, Read and Listen," in which she also performed all the character voices. She has voiced various animated series, including "Caillou" and the Emmy Award-winning "Arthur". She has recorded numerous documentaries for the National Film Board and industrials for private enterprises.

 

Relaxed and comfortable in front of a camera, Sharman is regularly seen on national TV in The Heritage Minutes as 'Nellie McClung' and narrating monologues on "Mystery Ink"- . Other principal TV roles include "Melba" in More Tales of the City, Who's Afraid of the Dark, Urban Angel and, most recently, as "Mundane" in The Ladies Room.

 

A special honour came to Sharman when asked to perform the role of "Gertrude" in Hamlet for the first Governor General Awards at the National Arts Center in Ottawa.
