Every Saturday at eleven, Chris Robinson takes you on a one-hour journey to some of the most wonderful travel locations on the planet, both far and near.

Chris started globe trotting when he was a kid and hasn't stopped since, traveling to over 100 countries. His professional background is also rooted in travel, with companies such as Sunquest Vacations, Signature Vacations and Avis, so there is no better authority to introduce you to many of the wonderful destinations that you plan to visit, or just want to dream about!

Every week there is the opportunity to win a prize - yet another good reason to tune in every Saturday from 11am- 12pm to the Chris Robinson Travel Show. This website will be updated every week to let you know next Saturday's destination.

Tips on entering the contest

When you submit your question to The Chris Robinson Travel Show, here are some tips on how to maximize your chances of getting your question addressed on the show and becoming a contender for the week’s prize trip:

1. If you are not familiar with the destination or topic of the week, use the website and contact links noted on this web page each week to research your question

2. I am sorry that I cannot answer questions that are not chosen during the show

3. Coming up with interesting angles, poems or personal experiences is a good idea as these will often be of interest to other listeners

4. Be ready to answer the phone at the end of the show with the week's winning phrase which is given out during each show

5. Above all, have fun finding out about the wonderful world of travel with us and do not despair of having your question picked. You will succeed sooner or later, and then you can have the thrill of waiting to see if that phone call comes to you at the end of the show…

Listeners sometimes tell me that I have the best job in the world - especially when I do an on location show, such as I did last weekend from the bottom of the mountain in Aspen, Colorado!
However, there are even better opportunities at the moment with a rash of Tourist Boards seeking "real people" to experience and write about their destinations. The "caretaker" job for an island off the Barrier Reef in Australia, for instance, got a lot of publicity.....

Here's another great job offered by Orlando CVB - and we need some Canadians to apply! I'd do so myself if I didn't have to broadcast the Travel Show each week on different destinations each week (it's a hard life!)
